Install the controller — Water Level Controller

Install the controller

10 steps

Before you start

  • For one single-phase (1Φ) motor up to 1 HP only. It cannot be used with a DOL starter or a 3-phase motor.
  • Have a qualified electrician install it. Switch off the main power supply before you start.
  • You need the controller, the 4 float sensors, the console screws and a flat-head screwdriver.
  • Cable: 2 runs of 4-core cable, one for the tank sensors and one for the sump sensors.
  • Only a water tank and no sump? Contact support for the right wiring before you install.

  3. Mount the controller

  4. Place the tank sensors

Put the tank low sensor at about 25% of the tank capacity and the tank high sensor at about 90%. Tape them in place.

You can adjust these levels to suit your tank.

  5. Place the sump sensors

Put both sump sensors in the sump, 2–10 inches apart, just above the sump's foot valve. Tape them in place.

With a submersible pump, place them over the pump's intake valve.

  9. Connect the power and the motor

Connect the power and the motor

Connect the single-phase supply phase to P and neutral to N. Connect the motor between L and neutral.

Connect it in parallel with your motor switch or starter, so you can still run the motor by hand.
